For many, these experiences have included being kept apart from their community, whether by discrimination alone, or by complete separation from family and community into segregated facilities and institutions.
Susquehanna Service Dogs welcomes the Team Foster Heroes litter
On December 13, Susquehanna Service Dogs welcomed a new litter of puppies, the Team Foster Heroes litter. Sponsored by Team Foster, each puppy is named after a service member who was killed in action or passed away after returning home. Join Keystone Human Services International at the United Nations on June 14 for the Side Event “Making Deinstitutionalization Real: Moving from the Idea toward the Ideal.” This Side Event is part of the 10th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. A panel of change agents from India, the Republic of Moldova, and the United States will explore questions and answers on how to build inclusive communities.
