Family Based Mental Health Services

Family Based Mental Health Services provide support for families with children who have serious emotional or behavioral concerns that may place the children at risk for out-of-home placement. Family Based Mental Health Services partner with families and children to support them to stay together in their own homes.

In partnership with the family, our team of professionals identifies concerns and develops a support plan based on the child’s and family’s strengths. This plan also identifies community resources such as daycare, recreation or transportation; aims to support parents to develop parenting skills, problem-solving skills and other skills; and coordinates services to support children to remain in their own home.

Services may include individual and family therapy, case management and on-call services available 24 hours a day.
