Mental Health Professional - Host Home Services
Announcement 4000-TFCHH-MHP
Position Description:
Perform the lead role in the referral and review process for the assigned service location by interviewing children and families, assessing the appropriateness for services, and maintaining referral records. Develop and ensure implementation of all individual service plans. Schedule and conduct weekly individual and family therapies for natural and host/foster home families. Attend all psychiatric appointments and medication reviews. Schedule and conduct ISP meetings. Monitor and ensure thorough and accurate documentation of all behavioral observation and data collection processes. Attend external meetings involving the children as needed. Prepare the annual child treatment outcomes report. Share on-call responsibilities with the other program clinicians.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree in a clinical discipline, such as Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation, or Special Education. Previous work experience in children's mental health treatment. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently and perform own clerical and administrative needs. Familiarity with word processing is preferred. Must have own means of transportation to travel to the homes of host families in York and surrounding counties and other applicable locations. Must pass criminal history and child abuse checks.
Compensation & Status:
$33,000 to $38,000 annually. Full-time Exempt. 75 hours every two week pay period. Variable schedule to meet program needs, including evenings and weekends. Position will be based at the KC&FS York office but could also be assigned families from Adams, Lancaster, and Dauphin Counties.
Clinical Care Coordinator - (Family Based-MH Services and Family Preservation & Reunification Services)

Position Description:
Provide clinical care support to the program in all areas of operation. Daily responsibilities will include administrative and secondary supervisory roles. Function as the primary contact for referrals, intake, and placement of children. Manage consumer files and conduct audits to ensure compliance in all areas of file maintenance. Submit billing and other relevant documents to funding and referral sources. Obtain authorizations and verify funding of services for all service recipients. Enter data for authorizations and charges for the practice. Conduct basic administrative tasks for the programs' directors such as word processing, filing and recordkeeping, data entry and maintenance, reports and correspondence preparation, presentation preparation, and data analysis. Provide services directly as needed during periods of staff transition. Conduct some of the supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a human service discipline is required to provide occasional direct service. Master's Degree in a human service discipline is ideal. Minimum of five years of direct experience working with children and families is required. Intermediate or advanced computer skills are required, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, powerpoint, and database management. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to demonstrate high degree of verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Family Preservation & Reunification Practitioner
Announcement 4000-FPRS
Position Description:
Provide intensive in-home crisis services to families whose children are in imminent risk of being placed into foster care due to abuse or neglect. The Family Preservation / Reunification Practitioner is on call 24 hours per day to help families with structuring and problem resolution. Major responsibilities include providing crisis-oriented counseling and support, education, skills training, and therapy using goal-oriented treatment plans. Other responsibilities include providing advocacy for the families with schools, court, and other social service agencies as needed, arranging follow-up and on-going case management after termination of services, and keeping a thorough and up-to-date client records.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree plus four years direct experience counseling children and families (five years or more of work experience is preferred). Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must have access to a privately maintained vehicle and valid PA driver's license. Must pass Act 33 and PA State Police clearances.
Compensation & Status:
Full-time, Salaried/Exempt, $27,500 annually.
Behavior Specialist Consultant - Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services

Position Description:
Provide individual and family treatment services to assigned children with autism and their families. Clinically supervise assigned Therapeutic Support Staff. Prepare treatment and service plans. Maintain applicable documentation and clinical records on assigned children and families. Submit applicable billing and treatment documentation within prescribed timeframes.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree in a recognized clinical discipline and previous work experience with children with behavioral challenges. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to travel throughout Dauphin and Cumberland Counties. Must pass Act 33 and PA State Police clearances.
Compensation & Status:
Per Diem, Non-Exempt; $25/hour for billable work, $10/hour for supervision of TSS's, $8/hour for administrative work
Clinical Services Assistant - Early Intervention Services

Position Description:
Provide general administrative support to the program including, but not limited to, telephone and guest reception, maintaining program forms, word processing, data entry and maintenance, filing and recordkeeping, accounts receivable, desktop publishing, filing, copying, collating, preparing reports and correspondences. Conduct intake and submit billing for all privately funded clients of the practice. Obtain authorization and verify funding of services for all clients. Enter data for authorizations and charges for the practice. Assist with conducting audits of clinical records as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of two years previous general office/administrative assistant experience in a medical or clinical setting is preferred, including insurance authorization and billing process, intake processing, and clinical recordkeeping. Proficiency in database and spreadsheet applications is required. Previous experience in a behavioral health care environment is preferred. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation & Status:
$13 per hour, Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Clinical Director

Position Description:
Provide Clinical Leadership across the services of KCFS. Chair clinical leadership meetings. Participate in management, leadership and stakeholder meetings. Provide clinical supervision and daily oversight to agency clinical employees. Develop and provide professional clinical education. Adhere to best practice standards in the delivery of services. Participate in agency quality initiatives and on going quality efforts. Represent the agency in stakeholder meetings. Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and contracts.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a licensed psychologist. Minimum of six years of experience working directly with children and families that experience social, emotional, behavioral or mental health disabilities. Prior experience working with children that experience autism. Demonstrate the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; read, interpret, and apply written information such as policies and procedures, training and staff development; reading clinical research findings, psychological and other therapeutic assessments; understand, develop, and implement treatment objectives. Previous supervisory experience desired.

Mental Health Consultant

Position Description:
Provide individual, group, and family treatment services to assigned families. Services are provided in teams of two FBMHS staff. Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to: assessing the needs of families and the appropriate treatment modalities, preparing treatment service plans and reviews, completing no less than 70% of actual work hours per week as "billable" services, completing all applicable documentation within required timeframe, adhering to the clinical direction and guidance of the Treatment Team and the MHP, and collecting data.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a human service discipline plus one year of CASSP experience, OR 12 college level semester hours in a human service discipline plus one years CASSP experience and enrollment for certification as a PA FBMHS Mental Health Worker. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must have access to a privately maintained vehicle and valid PA driver's license. Must pass Act 33 and PA State Police clearances.

Therapeutic Staff Support (TSS) - Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services

Position Description:
Provide one-on-one therapeutic and behavioral support to assigned children in school and other community settings. Implement appropriate treatment modalities as outlined in the Treatment Service Plan. Maintain clinical records and documentation. Maintain confidentiality of program participants at all times. Comply with all regulatory requirements and agency policies and procedures. Maintain professional relationships with other agency staff involved with the child receiving services. Participate in staff meetings, and other required trainings.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of Associate's Degree or sixty college semester credit hours plus equivalent of at least three years of full-time work experience in a job that involved direct contact with children, OR Bachelor's Degree in a human service discipline (no prior experience required, OR Bachelor's Degree in a non-human service discipline and 12 months of equivalent full-time work experience. Must be able to demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must have access to a privately maintained vehicle and valid PA driver's license. Must pass Act 33 and PA State Police clearances.
Compensation & Status:
$13.00 per hour for billable work hours ($8.00 per hour for travel, training, and documentation). Casual status (no benefits), variable work hours based on availability of employee and/or assignments.

Position Description:
Delivers Head Start services to a group of children and their families, consistent with the program plan of this agency. Implements a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, utilizing consistent daily routine and a detailed lesson planning. Individualizes activities, goals, and interactions with children based on their developmental needs. Maintains respectful and encouraging interactions with children. Works with families to ensure smooth transitions for children entering or leaving the program. Conducts home visits, completes and turns in home visit reports. Encourages and supervises parent involvement and participation according to program guidelines. Interprets Head Start objectives and concepts to parents. Uses a variety of equipment, activities and opportunities to promote the physical development of children. BA or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education; or BA or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool children; or AA in Early Childhood Education; or AA in a related field and coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching preschool-age children; or BA and has been admitted into the Teach for America program, passed a rigorous early childhood content exam, such as the Praxis II, participated in a Teach for America summer training institute that includes teaching preschool children, and is receiving ongoing professional development and support from Teach for America's professional staff. Associate Teacher

Position Description:
Responsible for delivering quality Head Start services to a group of children and their families, with direction from the classroom teacher. Works with teacher to plan developmentally appropriate classroom activities for each child, taking into consideration the program goals for children and the individual needs of family members. Ensures that daily classroom cleanup, meal preparation and cleanup is completed. Assumes responsibility of classroom operation in the absence of the Teacher. Promotes an environment in which children can learn and practice behaviors that are acceptable and appropriate, through observing children, assisting with daily lesson planning, and actively interacting with them. Performs bus monitor duties and bus related responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or GED and also: Have at least a child development associate credential; or be actively enrolled with a minimum of 9 credits per year in a program leading to an AA or BA in Early Childhood Education; or be enrolled in a child development associate credential program to be completed within two years of hire. Substitute Teacher

Position Description:
Assist in the delivering of quality Head Start and childcare services to a group of children and their families, with direction from the classroom Teacher. Takes direction from Teacher or Center Director in planning classroom activities for children. Functions as a substitute teacher throughout CAHS as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
For Child Care classrooms: Have a High School Diploma, GED, and two years (2500 hours) experience working with children.

For Head Start classrooms: Head Start parents must have completed Hands on Training program, including 25 documented hours of volunteering in a classroom setting. If no high school diploma or GED, then must be willing to begin process within six months and receive diploma/GED within the first two years of employment. Community applicants must have High School diploma or GED and one year (1250 hours) of experience working with young children. Must have Pennsylvania driver's license and access to properly insured vehicle. Must have functioning personal telephone.
