Our Voices Helped Make a Difference in the Pennsylvania State Budget
I am pleased to share good news with you. On June 30, the PA Senate approved the state general appropriations budget bill. This budget bill includes the funding increases for intellectual disability and autism services which we have been advocating!
Still, the process is not completely over. The next step is for both Houses to act on the revenue bills, and we expect this to happen sometime in the month of July.
Our collective efforts have truly made an impact. Thank you to all of you who contacted your State Senator to let them know how critical increased funding is for intellectual disability and autism services.
Please thank your legislator for being part of the Pennsylvania General Assembly who passed a budget bill that invests in intellectual disability and autism services. Even if your legislator did not vote for the budget, please let them know that you appreciate the General Assembly's action to support intellectual disability and autism services.

Advocacy is one of the many important aspects of the critical work we do to support people every day. I will continue to provide you with updates and opportunities to support our vision of a world where all people, regardless of background and ability, can grow, make choices, and be valued and contributing members of our community. Together, we are making a difference.
Thank you for your continued commitment to our mission and the people we serve.
