Keystone Service Systems Southeast
Mission
The mission of Keystone Service Systems Southeast (KSE) is to act as a change agent, creating opportunities that encourage growth and meaningful life choices, while assisting people find home, health, friends, work and presence in their communities.
At KSE we use a team approach, and believe that services for people with autism or mental retardation must be highly individualized and based on each person's particular needs and characteristics. Functional skills are taught within the context of the person's strengths, and each individual is encouraged to communicate his or her needs and desires in ways that are effective and facilitate the development of valued and meaningful relationships.
Our Agency is the product of discussions with parents and advocates about the need for services and supports for individuals with autism. For many years, these individuals fell between the cracks of the systems of care in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Over time, with the active advocacy of families and organizations, State governments have developed mechanisms for serving individuals with autism. Keystone believes that it is central to our mission to be involved with the development and creation of these emerging service systems. From this belief, Keystone Service Systems SouthEast was born. We are pleased to be providing these valuable services through the Department of Public Welfare in Pennsylvania and the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services in Delaware. We are also pleased to be working closely with the families and advocates in the development and delivery of these services.
Keystone Service Systems SouthEast is a member of the Autism Society of America.
