Keystone Human Services Mid Atlantic

A Woman and a Man Outdoors

Specializing in services for people with autism, Keystone Human Services Mid Atlantic provides a comprehensive array of community-based supports in southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Formerly known as Keystone Service Systems Southeast, Keystone Human Services Mid Atlantic was established in 2000 in response to the increasing need for specific services for adults with autism. In the subsequent years at KHSMA we have expanded our coverage to also provide services to adults with intellectual disabilities.

Our range of services and supports to people with autism and intellectual disabilities includes 24-hour supported residential living homes, home and community support, behavioral therapy and employment support.

At KHSMA we use a team approach, and we believe that support for individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities must be highly individualized, structured around each person's particular needs and characteristics. Functional skills are taught within the context of individual strengths, and each individual is encouraged to communicate his or her needs and desires in ways that facilitate the development of valued and meaningful relationships.

A Word from the Executive Director

Keystone Service Systems Southeast has officially transformed to Keystone Human Services Mid Atlantic (KHSMA). Established in 2000 to meet the needs of individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities, Keystone Human Services Mid Atlantic has secured a positive reputation throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware by providing the highest quality of behavioral healthcare services. By embracing Keystone Human Services' 35 year tradition of compassionate support and innovative services, we have remained true to our vision of providing person-centered services and promoting Social Role Valorization. We employ a comprehensive continuum of services, including supportive living, supportive employment, behavior therapy and residential services, to meet the needs of adolescents, adults and their families in the Mid Atlantic region.

Without a doubt, our greatest asset is our team of direct support professionals. As executive director of KHSMA, I have seen firsthand their tireless motivation to meet the individual needs of every person we serve. Participating in specialized educational training and gaining certifications in autism, intellectual disabilities, mental health, applied behavioral analysis and health-related topics, our informed staff facilitates a person-centered approach that promotes independence and self determination.

In eight years KHSMA has successfully established itself as a dependable resource for the autism and intellectual disabilities community. We are excited to learn what the future holds in this time of continual development, and we embrace the opportunity to continue our innovative efforts.

Yours in Service,

James G. Gill, Jr., Executive Director
