Keystone Human Services of Lancaster
Mission
Supporting Individuals, Strengthening Families, Building Community
Keystone Human Services of Lancaster began providing services in 1984, when twelve people experiencing mental illness began a new life in a transitional program for adults located in Lancaster City. Additional services within Lancaster County were developed in 1988, when the residential services to 20 individuals with mental retardation were offered in five small community homes, and three family living homes. Most of these people came home to Lancaster County after many years of congregate living in large state facilities and we were proud to be a part of this exciting home coming.
Since that time, Keystone Human Services of Lancaster has continued its mission to help people live rich and full lives in the community by creating a wide range of community living alternatives. We have been particularly successful in helping to design effective and creative supports for people who experience significant behavioral and psychiatric challenges.
Our strong belief in the capacity of each individual to grow and learn, strong leadership, and commitment to training and education have allowed us to pursue our vision with success for over 20 years.
