A Word from the Executive Director

James LaGraffe
James LaGraffe, Executive Director

For over 20 years, Keystone Residence of Lancaster has cultivated a reputation for excellence in service delivery and responsiveness to community need in the provision of support for individuals with disabilities. As we embrace a new stage of growth in both the agency and the entire Keystone family of agencies, it is fitting to reaffirm our commitment to the Keystone Human Services vision with a new name: Keystone Human Services of Lancaster.

As one of Keystone's first agency branches, Keystone Human Services of Lancaster has shared in the organization's mission from its earliest incarnation. From a commitment to support individuals with disabilities as they transitioned from large institutional settings to community-based care, we have seen the Keystone mission grow into a comprehensive, integrative system providing support for individuals with disabilities, family preservation and therapy services, autism support and a variety of services and assistance programs for children and families.

As Keystone Human Services of Lancaster continues to provide residential services for individuals with disabilities, family living services and family and community support services, I am continually impressed by the commitment of our caring staff as they find new and imaginative ways to improve the lives of the people they serve. Through our monthly Caught in the Act of Excellence awards, we recognize the outstanding service of staff members whose dedication and creativity are the backbone of our trustworthy reputation for excellence. If you know of a KHSL staff member who is going above and beyond in any realm of service provision, I invite you to nominate him or her for Caught in the Act of Excellence recognition. On behalf of the committed people who live, work and thrive at Keystone Human Services of Lancaster, I invite you and your family member or friends to join our family. Our entire staff would consider it a privilege to support their personal pursuit of choice, growth and self fulfillment.
