The Green Street Society

Hand over hand

For those who desire to leave a lasting legacy, The Green Street Society has been established to receive donations from individuals who want to ensure the continuation of programs within Keystone Human Services. As an endowment, your donation is invested. The interest alone is used to sustain and support Keystone's vital services. By giving to our endowment, your individual gift continues in perpetuity. Gifts can be earmarked to benefit specific program areas, or can be used at the discretion of the Board of Directors to address pressing needs.

The Green Street Society was named after the first program established by Keystone Human Services in 1972 on Green Street in Harrisburg. This first initiative was a residential program serving three men with mental retardation. Just as that ground breaking program has grown into a multifaceted human service family of agencies, your gift can help us continue toward our Vision … "where all people will have value and be contributing members of our community."

The Green Street Society offers an ideal means of ensuring that your loved ones and needy individuals in your community will continue to receive services as long as they are needed. The Keystone Partnership Endowment Program has been established to provide an opportunity for you to donate bequests, appreciated stock, personal property, commercial property, automobiles and other assets of value to ensure this continuity and security. Keystone Human Services' family of agencies are 501(C)3 non-profit agencies. As such, your donations will be tax deductible within the limits of the law in your personal tax situation. Those who plan ahead to include Keystone Human Services or one of our agencies in their will automatically become a member of the Green Street Society. The first 150 such donors will become Charter Members of the Greet Street Society. The appropriate wording for establishing a bequest to benefit the work of the Keystone Partnership can be obtained from our office by calling 717-232-7509.
