Gifts of Time

Speakers Bureau
We want the community to know of the programs of the Keystone Human Services' family of agencies, and we need help to do that. Volunteers are needed to assist our staff in making presentations to clubs, religious groups, and organizations. Training is provided, and we will work with your schedule.
Work Days
College and high school groups, businesses, clubs, organizations and neighbors have come together to assist with maintenance projects on a year-round basis - painting a Head Start classroom, a counseling space or a back porch, or doing spring yard clean-up or major landscaping - we have something for you to get involved with and have fun doing it.
Special Projects
Special projects address the immediate needs of our agencies for the renovation and maintenance of facilities, in-kind donations of materials, items for enhancement of the daily living of the people who use our services, home decoration items such as art, flowers and plantings, bicycles for our youth efforts and automobiles for transporting parents of Head Start children to medical appointments.
Special Events
There are many special events throughout the year supporting the work of Keystone and our agencies. These include the ChocolateFest, PawsAbilities, Annual Golf Tournament, Black Tie and Tails, Capital Dinner Theatre, and Hot & Spicy Festival. These events have extensive sponsor, volunteer and vendor opportunities. Click here for on-line purchasing tickets to our special events.
Adopt a Home
A program forming collaborative efforts with businesses, civic groups and individuals for projects including repairing, renovating, decorating and furnishing the homes of Keystone through the donation of cash, in-kind contributions, specialized skills and volunteer time.
Home Showers
Clubs, organizations and individuals hold a "shower" to collect new or nearly new items to enhance the home they have chosen to support. Each group is supplied with a list of items needed by one of our homes or apartments. The list is complete with the favorite color preference and style of the individuals using services. In some cases, organizations have an ongoing relationship with one particular location.
Wish Lists
All agencies keep an updated list of program materials, equipment, personal needs, household daily living items and supplies, construction materials for renovation projects, transportation and recreational requests. These lists are available for individuals, businesses, clubs and organizations to choose from as a way to support the programs of our organizations.

If you or your group or business would like to know more about the ways you can assist, please call us.
