Wine and Dine with Your Dog at Susquehanna Service Dogs' Black Tie & Tails Gala

Harrisburg, PA (PRWeb) September 4, 2009 – Susquehanna Service Dogs invites owners and their dogs to the annual Black Tie & Tails gala. This black-tie event to benefit SSD will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to spend an elegant evening of dinner and dancing with their dog. The evening includes a reception, silent auction, dinner and dancing. Live music will be provided by The Waves, and Alicia Richards of ABC27 will serve as mistress of ceremonies.

SSD encourages owners to bring their canine companions dressed to impress. Not only will there be portrait photography available, but guests and their dogs will have the opportunity to be turned into real characters by artist Neil McMillin of Neillustrations.

All dogs must be on lead at all times. There will be experienced volunteers to pet sit canine guests while their owners dance.

Guests should R.S.V.P. by October 9. Tickets cost $100 per person or $150 per patron. All dogs are free! Each couple is invited to bring one canine guest. To purchase tickets, visit www.keystonehumanservices.org or call 717-232-7509. All proceeds benefit Susquehanna Service Dogs.

Susquehanna Service Dogs breeds, raises and trains service and hearing dogs to assist children and adults with disabilities to become more independent. Since 1993, SSD has placed over 165 with children and adults throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond.
