Keystone Human Services Acquires Impact Systems, Inc.
(Harrisburg, PA – February 1, 2008) – Keystone Human Services (KHS) is pleased to announce the acquisition of Impact Systems, Inc., a privately owned, Pennsylvania based for-profit agency serving individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and autism for 35 years. Impact Systems, Inc. serving Dauphin, Cumberland/Perry, Luzerne/Wyoming, Lehigh, Chester and Delaware counties will become an important component of Keystone’s regional system of care. Impact Systems, Inc. joins Keystone as a wholly owned subsidiary on January 31, 2008.
“We are delighted to welcome the entire Impact organization into the Keystone family” comments KHS President, Dennis W. Felty. Impact has a long and impressive track record as an outstanding organization, supporting persons with disabilities to be valued and contributing members of their community. We are two strong organizations that together create a capacity that neither of us could achieve alone.
Impact Systems brings approximately $25 million in resources annually to the communities it serves. Impact will continue doing business as Impact Systems, Inc. and it is anticipated that Impact Systems will be converted from a privately held for-profit company to a nonprofit 501© 3 organization in the near future. Keystone recently celebrated its 35th anniversary and, with the addition of Impact, brings nearly $125,000,000 in resources to the communities and individuals it serves.
The acquisition gives Impact Systems, Inc. access to Keystone’s advanced infrastructure which includes information systems from Oracle, Microsoft and Esteam’s TOTAL: Record, TOTAL: Quality.
Impact Systems is a natural fit within Keystone’s broader spectrum of services. Keystone is respected globally for their innovative supports for children and adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and physical disabilities. Keystone currently advances opportunities in the community for thousands of children and adults from Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, Russia and Moldova.
