Services: Supported Homes
Supervised by KEY Service Systems' administrative staff, "Supported Homes" will match a child or adult with mental retardation and/or physical challenges with an individual family for long-term care and training. Additionally, as a component of this program it is possible to provide in-home support services to a family caring for a biological child within their own home.

- What are the qualifications of the family?
- Primary caregiver must be 21 years of age or older. Licensable home or apartment for "foster care." Previous experience not required. Training is provided. Separate bedroom or shared bedroom with one other family member. Strong desire and commitment to provide long-term support.

- The new family member will be enrolled in school, a vocational program, day program or employed, as appropriate.
- What support do I receive after placement?
- KEY Service Systems, Inc. is committed to providing support to the individual with a disability as well as to the family. A KEY Service Systems staff person will provide ongoing monitoring of the placement to ensure all services are in place and to offer support and direction to the family. In addition to financial support, the agency offers Future Planning Sessions facilitated by a psychologist and ancillary services such as home health aids or therapists, tailored to the needs of the individuals.
