Services: Family Based Mental Health Services

Craig Gehosky M.S. is the program director and contact person for Family Based Mental Health Services (FBMHS). Children and families are eligible for this service when behavioral and emotional challenges exist that could lead to more restrictive treatment for their child (i.e. psychiatric hospitalization, "out-of-home" mental health placement). The families and children we serve receive a diverse and comprehensive service that is tailored to the unique strengths and needs of each family. We work with the family system as a "whole" as well as individually with the child presenting the challenges, the siblings, and parents. Our services typically include family and individual therapy, case management, and 24/7 on-call services. Additionally, we are able to assist families with financial needs as they relate to their children's treatment. Referring children and families can be accomplished through a doctor's (i.e. physician, psychologist, psychiatrist) recommendation that includes "medical necessity" indicated by a risk of more restrictive treatment (i.e. psychiatric hospitalization, "out-of-home" mental health placement). We are funded through medical assistance and/or county authorization. Please feel free to contact Craig Gehosky directly for further clarification and/or questions (671-7898).
