Keystone Children & Family Services
Services: Children's Community Residential Services (Foster Care and Host Home)
Keystone Children and Family Services currently operates residential services for children in Dept. of Public Welfare licensed family settings for children in the custody of County Children and Youth Services (foster care) as well as children who require mental health treatment and remain in the custody of their natural family (Host Home).
Children receive support, nurturing and mental health treatment as required in small family settings in the community until they are able to return home or achieve permanency through adoption, guardianship or acquire the skills to live independently.
The foster care program, which provides "traditional " as well as "Treatment Foster Care" and is funded by County Children and Youth Agencies.
The Host Home services are funded by either Medical Assistance, managed care organizations or Children and Youth. Children must meet medical eligibility criteria for mental health treatment to participate in services.
Length of treatment is normally 6-12 months in Host Home and 6-18 months in foster care.
Referrals for foster care are received from the County Children and Youth Services, County Mental Health/Mental Retardation Case management or through the families managed care organization.
Respite Services are offered to families with children receiving mental health case management services when a family or child needs some time apart for everyone's well being.
Offices are located in Harrisburg at 3700 Vartan Way, York at 2915 N. George Street, suite 3 and Lancaster at 1891 Santa Barbara Drive, suite 203.
Currently Services are offered through contracts with Dauphin, Cumberland, Perry, York, Adams, Berks, Lancaster and Franklin counties.
