Impact Systems, Inc. offers a variety of residential programs for both children and adults.
- Community Living ArrangementsCommunity Living Arrangements (CLA)
- A home in the community where an average of 3-4 individuals live together. Professional caring staff provide ongoing assistance with medical, personal care and other daily living needs. Community membership and integration are key aspects to this program. 24 hour staffing, including overnight, is generally provided unless the individual has been assessed to be able to safely have time alone in their home or the community.
- LifesharingLifesharing (also known as Family or Companion Living)
- 1 or 2 individuals live with a host family or single person. Caring host families/individuals provide an opportunity for individuals to participate in an extended family while enjoying community involvement and becoming as independent as possible. Professional staff provide ongoing training, supervision and support to host families/individuals to help ensure quality of service or each individual.
- Supported Living
- A service alternative where an individual lives in their own home or apartment, possibly sharing expenses with one or two roommates. Individuals are generally responsible for paying their own rent and other living expenses. Professional staff provide up to 30 hours per week of support to assist individuals with budgeting, shopping, medical appointments and problem solving. Socialization and community participation are key aspects of this program. Staff guide individuals towards natural community supports and coordinate recreational and leisure activities.
- Adult Minimal SupervisionAdult Minimal Supervision
- A home in the community where an average of 3 individuals share the responsibilities of running a household. Support staff provide approximately 60 hours per week of assistance in areas such as shopping, budgeting, medical appointments, social planning, etc.
- Home Based Support
- Professional staff come to the individual's family home to provide agreed upon services. Supports may include instruction in the areas of self help skills, communication, socialization, motor, academic or vocational readiness. Home support professionals may also provide companionship to individuals while participating in community integration.
- Respite
- IMPACT provides respite services in staffed community home settings, through trained host families/individuals or in the individual's own home. This service provides families an opportunity to pursue activities apart from the individual knowing that their family member is being well cared for by capable professionals.
- VocationalVocational
- Job coaching and planning of other meaningful activities out of the home is provided to individuals to assist them in realizing their vocation potential and interests.
