Keystone Family Support Associates
Services
Services are offered in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
- Family Living Program
- This program creates opportunities for individuals with mental retardation to share their life with a family. The Family Living Program is based on the importance of enduring relationships as the foundation for learning life skills, developing self-esteem, and participating in family, community and civic activities. Referrals are received from Dauphin County MH/MR Case management unit. Private pay referrals are welcome.
- Respite Care
- Our Respite Program is licensed as a community residential facility. We schedule three overnight guests for planned or emergency respite care. Guests range in age since both children and adults with mental retardation use this service. By providing a temporary home for family members, our Respite Care Program offers the family a chance to take a vacation or strengthen relationships with other family members. We also provide support in the event of a family crisis such as a medical emergency. Referrals are received from Dauphin County MH/MR Case management unit. Private pay referrals are welcome.
- Family Aid Program
- Families who have a family member with mental retardation living at home with them may request that a sitter or companion come to their home to provide support for a few hours at a time. Within our agency, this service is called the Family Aid Program. The service may be provided in the family's home, in the sitter or companion's home, or in the community. Sitters and companions can act as bridge builders to the community, accompanying individuals to activities and events and making introductions to new people and interests. This program offers sitters for several hours at a time as well as host families who can provide respite care for longer periods of time.
- Community Support Services
- This program creates opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live successfully in the community with the amount of support they desire. Services are provided at home and in the community and are typically designed by the individual and their family. We believe that people should have available to them the type and amount of support that best meets their needs. This program works with each individual and family to develop an individualized plan.
