The Jewish Community Home Celebrates
20 Years!

Keystone Residence's Jewish Community Home invites you to its 20th anniversary celebration on Sunday, November 15 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Join us at the Jewish Community Center in Harrisburg, PA for an afternoon of celebration and refreshments. Entertainment will be provided by the Old World Folk Band.

At the anniversary celebration, we will be honoring Marilynn Kanenson. Marilynn has served as the chairperson of the Jewish Community Home Advisory Committee since its inception, and she continues in this capacity, sharing her passion for inclusion, community involvement and education.

You can also purchase tickets online. Please R.S.V.P. by November 2, 2009. All proceeds benefit the event and the construction of a sunroom at the community home.

Established in 1989 through a partnership between Keystone Residence and Jewish Family Service, the Jewish Community Home provides support for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and autism within a cultural environment – our first community home with a cultural focus. While providing community-based supports and services, the Jewish Community Home observes Jewish holidays, dietary laws and Shabbat.

Since then, interest in the program has grown, and a second home deeply rooted in the Jewish faith has been opened on Green Street in Harrisburg.
