Susquehanna Service Dogs is participating in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community in Harrisburg. Our goal is to raise $20,000 – the actual cost of raising and training one service dog. Service dogs change the lives of children and adults with disabilities. They can find and retrieve the phone, pick up objects, turn lights on and off, pull a manual wheelchair, alert to sounds and more. Most importantly, service dogs open doors to countless opportunities.
There are several ways you can support us in the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. You can form a team, raise money and walk in the Walk on May 19, 2012. Or you can be a virtual walker and make a donation to Susquehanna Service Dogs.
Register and join SSD for the Walk for a Healthy Community.
Please note that this year, the Walk has a new location. We will be meeting and starting the Walk at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC).
