Do you enjoy the peaceful camaraderie of the golf course and the feel of a smooth swing that sends the ball arching toward the green? You can spend the day on the greens with Keystone Children & Family Services in our 27th Keystone Golf Tournament. Held at the beautiful Carlisle Country Club on June 15, the tournament includes not only a round of golf but also raffles and contests. It’s sure to be an enjoyable day, whether you’re a master or a beginner.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The tournament is a scramble, with a shot gun start at 1 p.m. Each golfer on a four-player team tees off, and then selects the best ball. Players shoot from that location, and play continues this way until the ball is holed.
Benefiting Keystone Children & Family Services
As you’re walking or driving the links, you’ll have the chance to take a swing at several contests on selected holes. There will be cash prizes for the Putting Contest, Closest to the Pin and 50/50 Putt. The Longest Drive and Straightest Drive competitions have other exciting prizes, and if you win the Hole-in-One competition, you win a car! The day concludes with a dinner and presentation of the awards.
The tournament costs $150 per golfer to participate. Lunch costs an additional $10. The cost of lunch is included for sponsors of $1000 or more. Be sure to register your foursome to reserve your spot in this much-anticipated tournament! Registration closes on June 10, 2009.
The Keystone Golf Tournament benefits Keystone Children & Family Services. KC&FS provides community-based services for children and families throughout Central Pennsylvania, including Capital Area Head Start, Susquehanna Service Dogs and the Keystone Center for Children with Autism, among many others. Last year, nearly 1000 children participated in Capital Area Head Start, and more than more than 150 children and adults are living more independent lives because of the work of Susquehanna Service Dogs. The Keystone Center for Children with Autism continues to assist families to identify the needs of their children and gain access to services to meet the unique needs of their family situation.
Join us on the green as we tee off to support children and families in our community.
