Keystone Human Services cordially invites area dog owners – and their canine companions – to don their finest formal attire for Black Tie & Tails, a black tie gala benefitting the work of Susquehanna Service Dogs.
An elegant evening of dinner and dancing with dapper dogs, this year's Black Tie & Tails will be held at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel on October 19th from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Black Tie & Tails offers the unique opportunity to wine and dine with dog-lovers and their pets while raising funds and awareness for the invaluable services of Susquehanna Service Dogs. Live musicians – The Waves – will lead the evening into dancing and other special events, as mistress of ceremonies Alicia Richards of ABC 27 News helms the event reception and silent auction.
Whether through companionship, service or even just fun and laughter, dogs can have a profound positive impact on the lives of individuals and families – a fact highlighted by the invaluable work of Susquehanna Service Dogs. SSD provides service and therapy dogs to individuals with disabilities, helping them live fuller and more independent lives in the community. From carefully monitored breeding to specialized training, service dog placement is a costly endeavor. Through donations, support from the United Way of the Capital Region and funds raised by special events like Black Tie & Tails, SSD is able to charge individuals only a fraction of a cost required to prepare each dog for service.

Black Ties & Tails is an opportunity for dogs and owners to look and act their best, so all dogs must be on lead and prepared for an elegant evening-management requests one dog per couple and reserves the right to excuse misbehaving canine guests for the evening. Experienced volunteers will be available throughout the evening to pet sit for guests while they dance.
Tickets are $100 per person, or $150 per patron – which includes a listing in the event program. Please R.S.V.P. by October 10th.
