Gearing up for Keystone's Celebration of Love and Chocolate!
Voted again “Simply the Best Themed” fundraiser by readers of Harrisburg Magazine, the season is nearing for Keystone’s annual Chocolatefest and ChocolateBall celebrations, slated for January 17th and 18th, 2009 respectively.
Famous for dazzling Chocoholics of all ages while raising funds for every agency in the Keystone Family, ChocolateFest weekend draws over 3,000 supporters annually to The Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA. As usual, three sessions are planned for ChocolateFest to ensure that all guests are able to enjoy easy access to an endless stream of chocolate delicacies and festivities.
Hosted by Doug Allen of WGAL, the weekend starts out with a black-tie ball January 17th that will feature a romantic French theme with continental cuisine.
The evening will begin with a reception, silent auction and opportunity for party goers to participate in a group dance lesson lead by PA DanceSport. Following dinner live entertainment will be supplied by The SilverHawks and a dance exhibition during intermission performed by PA DanceSport. The ChocolateBall committee, chaired by Griffon Hamilton, Heather Baron and Claudia DuBaldi, is planning a magnificent evening for all attending.
The following day, a champagne premier reception at 11am will kick of Sunday’s festivities, followed by public ChocolateFest sessions from 1-2:45pm and 3:15-5pm.
All attendees can look forward to viewing and voting on the perennial Cake Competition while sampling the usual avalanche of chocolate treats from many of our area’s most respected chefs and eating establishments.
As we appeal to all of Central PA to turn out for Keystone’s incomparable “Celebration of Love & Chocolate,” we want to extend special thanks to The Hershey Lodge, WGAL, Rileighs Convention Services LLC, LAMAR Outdoor Advertising, The Hall Foundation and The John Crain Kunkel Foundation for their continued and extremely generous support.
And remember, while savoring every sweet mouthful, we hope you’ll remember and spread the word about Keystone’s life-altering work on behalf of vulnerable children, families and adults worldwide.
